God defines the standard...
period, no one else proclaims themselves as Creator of all things, but God.
Colossians 1:16-20 KJV ~For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
Nations are founded on something, it can not compete against itself or it becomes divided. A house divided against itself can not stand. (Matthew12:25) But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.
Two competing value systems, are inconsistent. How will it turn out?
So we also know that all things will be worked together, that rain is poured on evil and good. Our understanding is limited, and God’s is not! So we have this assurance to trust God, and not hope in men, cause men are with fault, and not perfect, as all have fallen short. Romans 3:23. The only one found to be acceptable for the faults and sins of man was Jesus, so when ancient scriptures tells us that no one was found worthy but Jesus, and was sent to the earth born incarnate of a virgin to show all the miracles and including the power of the death and resurrection of Christ that we would have assurance in Him.
1 Timothy 2:4 BSB ~who wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Colossians 2:9,15 KJV~For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Root of a standard value system:
Here is a something to ponder - Is that man’s wisdom in general and including my own is limited. But God’s is not. God’s Word says wisdom is a principle thing.
Proverbs 4:7 KJV~Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
Back to value systems, I think an important integral part of a value system is “morality”. Morality defines, a pillar it seems, that leads to righteousness, peace, love, order, justice, hope, faith a moral compass (conscience) to which the benchmark is set and not deviated from as the standard. The world has a different value system than God’s, God’s statues, His principles and wisdom!
So if we compare worldly or value systems, what resonates with you?
How can we discern the world and its rudiments from the word of truth and God?
God defines good and evil.
God defines truth and lies.
God defines justice and order.
God defined peace and hope.
God’s ways by standard default are not our ways. God defines so much in His Word about this life, history, what we face and have challenges with, and the future prophecy written for us. The Bible is the most important written scriptures there ever has been printed, and yet preserved for thousands of years.
My life experiences have shown me these realities, it comes down to the world’s ways (secular) and God’s ways (Biblical). And that you either trust in God or you are your own god. I know thats a bold statement, however this is from my lived experiences, I’ve been young enough to think I knew it all, but didn’t. And experiences and reading and discovering for yourself the realities of who actually is the giver and sustainer, provider of all of life is God. God declares He is the one and only creator God of all. Isaiah 45:5-23 BSB
May you be blessed in discovering truth on your journey, because truth sets us free from the bondage of the world and the fear of death and so much more.
Hebrews 2:15 BSB ~and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.
