Wisdom in life on this journey must include the Word of God, after all. The most wise of all the kings of the earth: Solomon was asked for anything he wanted from the Lord, and he asked for an understanding heart. He was given wisdom, to him it was given by God.
1 Kings 3:11-12 KJV ~And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment; 12 Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.
1 Kings 4:29 KJV ~And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.
1 Kings 4:34 KJV ~And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.
1 Kings 10:23-24 KJV ~So king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth for riches and for wisdom. 24 And all the earth sought to Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.
1 Kings 4:30 KJV ~And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
2 Chronicles 1:12 KJV ~Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.
The Lord is the creator of the heaven’s and the earth, and everything therein. The creator and Lord of all. How could anyone journey this life and not have the perspective of the most High Lord God Almighty. Who is all-knowing omnipresent Potentate.
Although the Bible teaches us that wisdom is a principle thing, there is in my opinion one better thing that we should desire greater than wisdom. We learn about this with David, the root of Jesse.
God describes David as a man after His own heart. In scripture in :
Acts 13:22 KJV ~And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave their testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.
What did the wisest king of all the earth say? In all his wisdom and getting, he spoke of the duty of man and to remember thy creator - in Ecclesiastes. 12:1a Ecclesiastes 12:1 ~Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth,
and
Ecclesiastes 12:13 KJV ~Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
This takes me back to the precious stone and a place on earth named Jasper.
In strongs concordance references described as “a gem”, “precious stone”, “first foundation”, “very precious jewel”, clear as crystal, among other descriptors, like unto a stone most precious. God said it first. And because it is mentioned more than a few times in the Bible it has symbolic meaning as well.
And in Job 28:18 there is a comparison of gems to wisdom that wisdom is greater than rubies. The price of wisdom is above pearls. There is plenty of gleaning in this study of jasper and wisdom.
Here’s a great article with the references of Jasper mentions in the Bible. https://trutimes.org/jasper-in-the-bible/
and in this article we learn jasper is more than about aesthetics, what color is jasper and so much more! Including spiritual reflection and symbolic meanings.
God's speciality is the impossible. He has clearly made this known to man(Romans 1:20). All who come to the knowledge of His truth rejoice in Him and praise Him for all He has done, making a way and continues to do so in all of humanity.
